So far in June I have played on my Xbox 360 more than I have played poker and as a result it is no surprise my bankroll has stayed around the same amount. I don't know why but I am really into my gaming this month, maybe I am like The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button?

One thing the videos have instilled into me is that aggression and position are the key ingredients to becoming successful at poker. I know this is not ground-breaking but watching top players makes you realise things.

Mrs P says I am a big geek for being 28-years old and spending my spare time shooting zombies and the like and laughed her head off when she heard me barking out instructions to some young, spotty American kid online via my headset! At least I don't spend all my time in the pub and chasing skirt! Mind you I would have to chase it as they're likely to run away from me these days!

I have actually played some poker but nothing really to write home about. Looking at my Hold'em Manager reveals I have played 12 HUSNG and around 1,000 hands of NL10 6-max cash for profit of around $30. This profit is likely to be wiped out though as I am moving my cash over to Betfair and because my Neteller account is in $US and my Betfair account is in British Sterling I get ripped off by Neteller's exchange rate. I really wish I had a normal bank account then I could use Paypal to fund my account, but for now this will have to do.

The reasons I am moving to Betfair are two-fold. Firstly there is a $2,500 no-deposit reload bonus available where you receive $10 per 300 points and have 60 days to clear as much as you can (works out as 60% rakeback with my current deal) and secondly I really want to play in Poker Player's Prize Fighter promotion.

I remember seeing the promo in the magazine a few months ago and thought to myself that I would like to take part but completely forgot to and ended up playing elsewhere. However, I have written the last couple of round-ups and updates and thought I would give the sixth and final round a go when it starts on June 19. I'll probably aim for the SNG leaderboard because my HUD doesn't work properly on Betfair (due to my graphics card being cack) and if I am going to log a ton of volume at cash I like to use my HUD. I've never used HUD for tournament poker and don't think you need to to be honest either. I'll have to log some serious volume as the last round's winner, Cucumber1, is a machine! We'll see how it goes anyway and I'll obviously update here.

I've almost finished watching PrimordialAA's training videos on HUSNG.com and I must say he is a good teacher, especially when you consider he is pretty young. He also has a great story behind him and seems like one of life's good guys. I'll be watching Croixdawg's videos next, he's a regular in the $500+ games and is a bit of a sicko!

One thing the videos have instilled into me is that aggression and position are the key ingredients to becoming successful at poker. I know this is not ground-breaking but watching top players makes you realise things. Even though their videos are all HUSNG, you can take many of their thoughts and plays and apply them at the cash tables too. I've also found my hand reading skills have improved and I have been able to put a couple of villains on exact hands in recent games. Well worth signing up IMO.

I'm rapidly running out of space so will end it here and make another post in a day or two otherwise this post is going to be far tl;dr!

So, as always thanks for reading and best of luck at the tables!
