Poker blog round-up: O-Poker, Jhub3000, Lukekim, Mudwig
Pud's Poker Progress

I've been a little bit down in the dumps this week but thankfully I have read some brilliant blogs that have cheered me right up. Some are serious, others humorous but all of them are worth reading over your dinner break!
First out of the bag is the blog entitled simply "O-Poker". There has been a few articles on these pages recently discussing the transition to live poker, tips for new players and such so I think the recent entry about talking in live games fits in quite well and gives you something to think about and maybe some weapons to add to your live arsenal.
I love reading the thoughts of pokers best players and one such person held in that regard is Jhubb3000, an American SnG specialist, who since April 5th has been making $219.42 per hour! Not too shabby. His recent post talks about the super turbo format SnG and how attainable ROI's in this format are ridiculously low due to the variance involved. At the bottom of his post is a summary of his play for the year and I was amazed to see he is actually down in money from playing but massively up from rakeback and bonuses, going to show how vital these two things are in becoming a successful online player. He writes very well and always discusses strategy so you are basically getting free training, again not to be sniffed at!
Another successful player, Luke Kim, wrote a blog entry on June 6 that shows poker players are actually a little bit mental! He is friends with the likes of Foxwood Fiend, Krantz etc so is in a circle of young, rich friends. When you give lads too much money and too much time they start to dream up all sorts of wacky plans, including sailing across the Atlantic in a yacht despite having no sailing experience! He wrote, "The other night, I discovered that their actual insane intention was to buy a $100k boat in Florida and sail it across the Atlantic Ocean to Italy!! This resulted in heavy discussion that both traheho and MagicNinja would perish in the ocean in some unfortunate maritime tragedy." I really hope they attempt it as it would make great reading!
Someone who I find very funny is Mudwig who has a great writing style that always makes me smile. His post entitled "laugh in the faces of spiders" describes how he was attacked by a couple of spiders, which I am sure were huge, poisonous and dangerous! Check out the rest of "Blogging Since Everyone Else Does" if you ever want cheering up!
I'm going to leave it there for another week but honourable mentions need to go Rubbish's last two posts which contain quality stories, TeamDobbs for a hilarous holiday disaster story and the ongoing Pet Taxi saga and Klopzi's blog entry "I Wish" which has given me an idea for a blog post after the weekend.
Thanks for reading, good luck at the tables and have a great weekend.
