Hello and welcome back to my little piece of the internet! It's Friday which means it is blog round-up time once again and this week we have people running well, people running bad and people running bad because they ran well! Does that make sense? No, thought not, let's got on with it anyway.
I've cast my net far and wide this week in an attempt to keep me awake as I am currently getting by on 3-4 hours sleep per night since the arrival of Baby Pud. I came across "The Diary Of A Grinder" by following a link on James Key's blog so I knew there was a good chance the author would know what he was doing! Anway, it turns out he, like me, plays HUSNG but he also manages to run like the wind and get paid off with a Royal Flush against someone who thinks his 6-high flush is good! LOL! I've had two straight flushes since I started playing, both 9-high and both of the diamond variety, I'm waiting for the day I get my spade Royal!
Another friend of James Keys is a guy known as PGChips who highlighted one of the dangers of playing multiple tables if you are half decent at poker. He recently played a ton of turbo SnG's and as he was running well he decided to up the number of tables he was playing from nine to 12 but ran so well he couldn't cope. He explains, "For the past two days I've been 9-tabling these running at just over 20% ROI. I tried 12-tabling but ran too good and couldn't cope with playing 5 heads up and 3 bubbles at the same time ffs, talk about running bad."
The blogger RecessRampage lives across the pond in Virginia and keeps a blog that takes "an intimate look at one man's downward spiral into poker degeneracy." I don't remember how I cam across the post from April 11, entitled "Foot fetish anyone?" but I found it funny so thought I would share it with you fine people. I think the humour, and possibly fetishes in general would appeal to other bloggers such as Amatay and Joppa Road.
Those of you who have read these round-ups from the beginning may think I have repeated myself here with me mentioning the blog of Snowman. However, I am not going entirely senile as although there has been mention of a snowman before on these pages, it was exSnowman and not simply Snowman! Whether or not they are related, I am not sure but Day 163's really made me laugh and I think the entire blog is genius. The way his blog is archived, you may have to search for the entry in question but it is worth it, as is the rest of the blog, one of my favourites. If my memory serves me correctly, he used to write a column for a poker magazine here in the UK but I've not seen him around for a while now.
On that note, I think I will call it a day. It is now only 0632 and the vast majority of you are still tucked up in bed, snoring away whilst I on the other hand have bee up since 0300! The joys of fatherhood eh?
As always, thanks for reading and best of luck at the tables!

Hi,
Thanks for your kind words about my blog. I'm delighted you find it slightly amusing. I haven't been around for a while as I've been quite seriously ill but now I'm on the road to recovery I might think about writing again in the near future.
Anyway, just a brief note to say I appreciate your comments.
Have a good one
Er....that's it.
