Sorry if any of you tuned in last week expecting to find the weekly poker blog round-up and found that there wasn't one. I decided to take a week off to recharge my batteries and recharged they are so carry on reading for the return of the round-up!

The first blog is from a poker superstar who I have the utmost respect for. He may only be 24-years old but he's already a multi-millionaire and is the only player not invited to play Tom 'durrrr' Dwan in his challenge. I am of course talking about Phil 'OMGClayAiken' Galfond.

I had completely forgotten Galfond had his own training site and blog until I saw a thread on a forum that linked to a post he made at the beginning of this week, which I think could be one of the best written blog entries ever. Entitled 'Midnight Ramblings', Galfond goes into great detail about his and other player's game an how he is dealing with running around $800,000 below equity in his recent games! A great entry by a great player.

Lorin Yelle, one of the contributors to the blog 'Small Stakes Hero' proves that you do not have to play nosebleed stakes in order to be able to write a top, though provoking article. I've mentioned Yelle's work here before but I think this is probably the best post he has ever written, though I think he'd have you believe ever post he writes is epic, he is that confident! Definitely read his post from August 21 called 'The Perils of Emulating Your Own Success' but don't tell him I think it's genius, his head may explode!

Whilst Phil Galfond is experiencing a nasty downswing, there is someone else who can share his pain, albeit at stakes much lower than him. No Limit Grinder recently dropped seven buy-ins in three days mainly due to some awful cooler hands he was involved. I'm not a big fan of bad beat stories but you need to check out the clips of hands he was involved in, in the entry 'What the hell just happened!"

Quick mention goes to Isaac 'Mr Menlo' Baron who, like his friend David Benefield, is quitting poker in order to go back to school to study. High-stakes cash games and tournaments suddenly became just that little bit easier to navigate through!

Well that's all for now folks, as always, thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
