Poker blog round-up: Custo, Boomtown Poker, Tommy Angelo and Voice of Joe

Pud's Poker Progress RSS / Matthew Pitt / 23 October 2009 / Leave a comment

It's Friday and that can only mean one thing, it's poker blog round-up time. This will be the last one I write from this house I the Pudding family are upping sticks and moving to a new home sometime during next week. Let's crack on with this then.

Custo keeps a poker blog that is entitled, "A True Aussie Battler" but it his latest post, "Busto!" that I am going to mention here. The entry reads like one of my own, with him having to withdraw his bankroll for life stuff and then a friend offering to stake him for some games. Again, like me, he ended his stake early as he wasn't comfortable playing with a friend's money and he is now planning on rebuilding his bankroll once his 4th, yes 4th child arrives. A very good read IMO.

One blog that I like to check in on from time to time is Boomtown Poker, written by Goose, but formerly Goose and Gidders. Goose has a unique writing style and often has me in stitches with how he describes situations he's been in and people he has met on his travels. However, it turns out the guy can actually play poker and describe strategy and theory pretty damn well. Check out "Is K high the new A high?" to see what I mean.

If you haven't ever heard of Tommy Angelo then where on Earth have you been? Mr Angelo is basically a poker genius who has many published articles around the world and has created some videos for Deuces cracked, one of which "The Eightfold Path To Poker Enlightenment" is currently burning onto a DVD as I type this. All of his work is first class but check out "I'm dying" for some light-hearted shenanigans.

Last but not least is Voice of Joe, owner of the strangely named blog, "Thoughts of A Badger's Ballbag." He recently wrote a funny entry about the X-factor's next show being broadcast from the priory after both Robbie Williams and Whitney Houston appeared on the show "allegedly" off their faces on illicit substances! My money would be on George Michael appearing, if he could actually finish the drive to the studio that is!

Well, that is all for now, hope you enjoyed it. As always, thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
