I am such a geek!

After doubling my bankroll within the first week of October, I have hardly played any poker. Why? I am not sure to be honest! Last month I simply could not stop playing even though I was losing heavily but this month I am winning and cannot find the motivation to play! I guess that is 'Sod's Law.'

The only poker I have played in the past couple of days saw me lose two $20 stacks in ten hands thanks to my AA not being able to win as an 80/20 favourite against pocket kings and my set of threes losing out to a set of tens on A3T board. I just cannot seem to log a decent cash session lately, do not have the time for MTT's and I am not that good at SnG! At least I am in front for the month, that is one thing.

So why am I a geek? Well, despite being 27-years young, I have spent quite a bit of time this month playing computer games! Mrs P has been ribbing me for it, saying I am a big geek, especially when I am shouting at the computer screen when my character inevitably dies! I have mainly been playing the PC classic, Half Life 2, a truly brilliant first-person shooter that received rave reviews when it was first released a couple of years ago. My sadness has passed onto Cadmunkey who has reinstalled his copy of the game and is also running around blowing up aliens and the like! It beats wondering the streets I guess! LOL!
Everything is well on the home front. Mrs P's belly is seemingly growing by the hour and we can now see which side Baby Pud is laying on as it distorts her stomach somewhat. We heard the heartbeat for the first time last week as we had an ante-natal appointment with the midwife, just a check-up really and some more blood taken for testing for abnormalities. Next step is the big scan on November 13th, my dad's birthday, when hopefully we can find out the sex of the new arrival! We both want a girl but will be happy with either sex, as long as it is healthy.
A big shout out to my buddy Kenn who has just moved to Australia and has already been killing the MTT's on his first day back online! He has also been busy doing other things as his wife is expecting twins! Congrats Kenn and Joanie!

Another mention must go to Amatay who was asked to go on Sky TV to talk about his blog and his poker playing. Amatay was one of the first bloggers I got talking to, and he gave me a shoutout on TV which was pretty cool even though he said he preferred my old blog due to the more "adult theme" to it! I deleted a couple of my old blogs after some trouble with my ex but there should be some of them floating around in cyberspace, I will have a look and see if any are allowed on here!
I think I will leave it there for now. Hopefully, I will get the poker bug again and start to grind away and get the bankroll back to how it was September 1, maybe my desire will return once I complete Half Life 2, which I reckon is 2-4 hours of solid play left!

As always, thanks for reading and best of luck at the tables.
