Clairvoyants, birthday wishes and winning streaks
Pud's Poker Progress

When I was just 17 years young I had a reading from a clairvoyant who my parents had used previously and highly recommended. At the time I thought a lot of what she told me was way off but when I have sat and thought about what she and the tarot cards told me then 90-95% has come true.
She told me that the gambling I do would never make me filthy rich, she actually said a yuppy (LOL) but it the money would come in handy so to keep on playing! Looks like no big scores for Pud, just a lifetime of grinding.
She described all my girlfriends in terms of height, build and personality despite me being single at the time and even told me about jobs, kids and learning to drive. Some of the things she told me didn't or haven't happened such as doing my A-levels and Uni as I dropped out (but am returning soon) and having a job that required a uniform, although I did try and failed to join the police force.
Anyway, with 11 years having passed, I decided to go see her again and see if anything came up. Mrs P also had a reading and went in first so I hung around trying to listen through the door! She seemed quite impressed with what she'd been told as she really got into Mrs P's mindset with a few things.
Despite me shuffling and splitting the tarot cards, a lot of mine matched Mrs P's as we are obviously linked. Such things as home moves, children etc. To cut a long story short she described the Pud Jr situation, how I feel this house is full of negativity and even down to finding some writing on a wall I stripped in the bedroom recently!
It was good to get some reassurance I'm on the right track, if there is such a thing, as I trust her judgement and her readings. One thing that did make me laugh to myself was when she said to me that it "appears you like a flutter" but there were "no real spikes in luck." She told me that the gambling I do would never make me filthy rich, she actually said a yuppy (LOL) but it the money would come in handy so to keep on playing! Looks like no big scores for Pud, just a lifetime of grinding. Kind of figures!
On the subject of grinding, I've not done that much of it recently, having only played nine HUSNG this week. I've actually had time to play and wanted to play but I've had a few connection problems and the games I have played seem to have lasted far longer than they usually do.
I'm putting the connection problems down to the new wired router I have as things were fine before it. It's only a cheap one from Maplin but we needed one so that we can have the net running at the same time as the amazing Xbox Live! I'm also thinking it could be down to the telephone being plugged in upstairs because although it's attached to a filter, the problem has started since I re-plugged it in. Anyone any idea?
Yesterday marked my second losing session from six this month, albeit over four game and only because of the rake. SO far I have played 44 matches, finished ITM 65.9% of the time, leading to an unsustainable ROI of 27.2%. I honestly think that 15-18% would be possible at these stakes as the players are simply terrible! Obviously it help that I am obviously running well but running well and playing well together yields devastating results.
I always post hands were the villain sucked out on me so to balance things up I will post some of my donkey plays where I got it in with the worst of it yet managed to win anyway! Here is how to get it all-in preflop as a 70/30 dog and still win, and here I haven't a clue what I'm doing but I think having 9.1% equity is under-rated. No point posting hands like TT into KK and standard stuff like that but there you go, Pud does suck out too sometimes too!
Last but not least a quick happy birthday to Pud Jr. He came into the world six years ago today and it still seems like yesterday. He's so clever and now his own person too, its great seeing him grow up even if it is only a few hours a week for the time being. Thankfully, I recently had some good news on that front and more will be revealed shortly. Happy Birthday sweetheart, I hope your day is as special as you are.
Well that's all for now, time to have a shave, another coffee and probably my daily dump!
As always, thanks for reading and best of luck at the tables!

At those stakes 10-15% is possible in turbos, and around 20-25% in regulars due to your edge being much bigger in non turbo games. Hope the grinding goes well!

I managed an ROI of 18% over 1,000 games at 5-10-20 dollar games. By the end though I really could'nt face another headsup match, my plan was to specialise in one format and to be honest I knew i had a huge edge by the 1,000 game or so but I almost physically could'nt play another headup match as I was so sick of it!
