Like a lot of poker players I have a dream. A dream that one day I will be able to be able to support myself financially by playing this wonderful game we call poker.

Things would be magnificent if this were to happen but would be even better if I could rub shoulders and pit my wits against some of the bets players in the world. Some of the following blogs share or are living my dream.

One man who will not be suffering the effects of the credit crunch is Robert Price, writer of the blog entitled "Animal Poker." Robert's blog is one of the longest running poker blogs, having started life in April 2006, and one that highlights his downfalls and losses alongside his winnings. Last Monday I read an entry that made me green with envy, not jealousy though, "Animal" had won £47,000 in a single day He's been tearing apart the Omaha tables of late and is making a killing. Teach me please!

Another online pro, Graham Clarkson, aka 'F-Badger' ticked one of my "to-do" boxes when he took on 2005 World Series of Poker Main Event winner, Joe Hachem at a $10/$20 Pot-limit Omaha Hi/low game. The flop was perfect for both players and by the river, both had improved to flushes although Clarkson's Ace-high beat Hachem's King-high variety for a nice $3,230 pot.

Another blog that I found last week was VoyPur Ustedes:The Blog For The Jilted Generation. Not only do I love the template, being a bit of a Prodigy fan myself, I loved his description of Hellmuth and DevilFish as suffering from "paranoid delusions" and likening the pair to "Lancaster Bombers" whilst Betfair's very own Annette as a "Stealth Bomber with digital read outs."

Last but not least for this week's round-up is the blog of a 'Small Stakes Hero". I followed a few links on other blogs and ended up at the blog of Lorin Yelle from Kentucky and I will certainly be calling back on a regular basis as he talks sense. His recent post on "Leaks in Poker, Leaks in Life" is a well thought out piece and highlights how important it is to research the best deals when playing online poker. A lot of mid and high-stakes players poo poo small and micro players and think we are all fish who don't have a clue about anything to do with poker theory and strategy but this blog goes to show we are not all pond dwellers!

I guess that is all for now. If you visit any of the blogs mentioned throughout this piece, don't forget to leave them a comment as bloggers love to know people are reading their stuff and whilst we see how many visitors we've had in the last week etc, comments make the world go round. Or is that money and sex, I'm not sure!
