Sweden's #1 Female Player joins Team Betfair

Michaela Johansson, a 23 year old from Sweden, has signed a sponsorship deal with Betfair Poker. She will represent Betfair Poker during the Main event of the WSOP in Las Vegas, starting July 3rd, and in WSOPE in September in which Betfair are the main sponsor.

The deal puts her alongside big names at Team Betfair such as Annette Obrestad, John Tabatabai and Sorel Mizzi, all of whom have numerous final tables in big events on their records.

Patrik Landgren, Poker Manager Sweden commented

"We are very excited to have signed Michaela and are confident that she will be a huge success playing under our flag. We wish her all the best in Vegas and look forward to seeing her at our own sponsored event - the WSOP Europe in London in September."
Michaela will be looking to emulate fellow female Betfair Poker pro Annette Obrestad and win a main event bracelet. Fortunately for her she is eligible to play in Vegas unlike Annette who will have to cheer her on from the rail !
