Last week we reported about Patrik Antonius winning a world-record $878,958.50 pot in a Pot-Limit Omaha game against mystery Swedish player Isildur1. At the end of the article I asked if we would see a $1,000,000 pot by the end of the year, well it turns out we haven't had to wait that long for one to develop.

Once again Isildur1 and Antonius were battling it out over four $500/$1,000 Pot-limit Omaha tables and there had already been a number of pots close to the magic million mark when this hand went down.

Isildur1, sat with a $678,000 stack made it $3,000 to go, causing Antonius, armed with $1.26m, to re-raise to $9,000. Usually this would find a fold from Isildur1 but not this time as he made it $27,000 to play. Antonius obviously liked his hand as he put in yet another raise, this time to $81,000, promting a call from Isidur1.

The flop came down 5c4s2h, Antonius lead out for $91,000, Isildur1 potted the action to $435,000 and Antonius moved all-in. Isildur1 called off his last $162,743 and a pot of $1,356,947 was created!

Antonius showed Ah3sKsKh for a wheel whilst Isildur1 held 9s8h7d6d for a higher straight draw. The turn came down 5h changing nothing and when the 9c arrived on the river the biggest pot in online history found it's way into the stack of the talented Finn. Maybe a $2,000,000 pot is on the cards now?

In other news, Shaun Deeb, the internet sensation, has announced he is to quit playing tournaments. The 23-year old from Troy, New York is synonymous with "high-volume" having played over 24,000 tournaments across just two poker sites in the past couple of years.

The prolific Deeb who has over $2,000,000 profit from online play and over $300,000 from live tournaments was asked why he had taken the decision to quit playing the games that have made him a household name inside online circles, simply replying, "Yah, I'm burntout."

When asked about poker tournaments, the popular Deeb said "I hate them. I'm done with them." According to reports Deeb plans to take the rest of the year off and take some time out from the game proving even the biggest stars in the world can find poker a real grind.
