Betfair Poker LIVE! Tallinn started at 18:00 with 167 registered players. The tournament has quite a diverse crowd with players from Finland, Russia, Ukraine, France, Australia, Germany, Bulgaria, Croatia and even Hong Kong, creating a 75,493 prize pool. With 15 places paid the first prize amounts to 20,157. After 9 levels of play the field lost about 2/3 of the entrants.
Betfair Poker has put quite a show for the reception of all players with offering them a FUN ZONE where players could accessorise themselves with poker bling or Las Vegas glamour, and put some great models on their hand. The competition Betfair Poker LIVE! Pokerface will be launched on Monday in Facebook and will give a free voting for all players who took part. The winner will win a buy-in to Betfair Poker LIVE! Ibiza.
Another entertainment was Betfair Poker Bounty player, who was Indrek "Summer" Raadik, who is a famous Estonian singer and announced the sexiest man of the year here. He was kicked out pretty earlier at the tournament after only 20min play by Dmitry Melikh, the lucky bounty hunter who will receive a prize package for the next main event at Ibiza.
The most spectacular hand of the day was played at the table #14 right before the big dinner break. After interesting play on the preflop, flop and turn Roman Shaposhnikov from Russia and his opponent Dinos Partinos both caught flushes on the river. Dinos who had the third nuts (queen-high flush) went all, but unfortunately for ran against the first nuts (ace-high flush) of his Russian rival.
The last 20 minutes of the 9th level were full with surprises and produced not-much-expected chip leader of the main event. Within this short period of time Slavon Popov from Bulgaria won two huge pots thank to two pair of kings poker Gods sent him at the most important moments.
The play will resume today at 16:00 local time with 62 participants fighting for the first prize.
