On Winning The Betfair $150,000 Tournament

RSS / Editor / 17 December 2007 / 3 Comments

THE $150k GTD guarantee some Christmas cheer for Jeteast, who won $41,250.

For those of you who want to listen to the goings on, live final table commentary was provided by Ben Grundy and Annette on Betfair Radio, Betfair's residents Dave Lee Travis and Vanessa Feltz (or is it the other way around?).

The event is refereed by Betfair's Oliver Bowen, of whom MC Roller wonders in the forums: "Is Oliver Bowen related to Jim Bowen from Bullseye?"

Nepotism is rife in the entertainment industries, MC Roller, and while anyone should concede a remarkable physical similarity between Bowen (Jim) and Bowen (Oliver) relations are neither confirmed nor denied. Ditto for Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.

As for the tournament results, the honour roll is as follows:

2nd - $26,250 - MrsMugger
3rd - $17,400 - kanwinner64
4th - $12,000 - hanna80
5th - $9,000 - IAMMULC
6th - $6,750 - wankhand
7th - $5,250 - Ron63
8th - $3,900 - mic3011
9th - $2,550 - evo2
10th - $1,800 - clyde321
