Sanremo EPT Day One

The weather is great in Sanremo and so is the atmosphere. There are more than 700 players hungry for success at Sanremo's EPT sponsored by Pokerstars for the first time in Italy.

387 are playing today and among them we have also Sorel who started very relaxed with a long massage to help himself focusing during the play. He was doing very well but luck wasn't really on his side.

He had 2 Aces twice in the game and twice he got beaten. The first one it was a JH ... BOOM ... Flush on River. He stayed cool and kept playing going up and down with the chips until the other hand with 2 Aces came. He raise and only one player follow him. Heads up. The other player has JK. After the flop a J was on the table but Sorel was still comfortably ahead. Bad bad turn ... K!!! Again lost a hand which seems to be impossible to lose. He managed to get to dinner still in, despite of the bad luck, with 184 players reamining. But the dinner was quite heavy to digest and Sorel had to go for a walk earlier than expected. He had Ace and King whilst the other play went with two 9. After the flop and the turn nothing changed and on the river the other players gets even another 9 to end Sorel's adventure in Sanremo.

Has the day 1b got something in store for our Betfair qualifiers? Let's hope so!!!

P.S: Whilst Sorel was getting the longest massage of the tour Alberto Tomba, former wolrd skiing champion, told louder to him: 'Hey boy, I am the ladies man'...LOL
