Here we are still in Sanremo following the the last 31 players letf 5 of them representing Italy in their own beautiful town. Dario Minieri is the hope for the Italians to win this tournament. Everybody is passiontely supporting him through every single hand he plays.

Sorel Mizzi and Ivar, one of our qualifiers, are taking part to a side tournament, buy-in €2000. The second biggest tournament in Italy after the EPT with a final prize €200.000 for the winner.

Ivar is proundly wearing the Betfair hat despite being knocked out from the main event on the first day. I took a chance to ask him a couple of question during the break.

Antonio: How was your experience at Sanremo EPT?

Ivar:: EPT Sanremo has been very nice. The main event was a bit disapointing, mainly because I didnt get very many playable hands and made a couple of bad moves, but I've enjoyed playing here and havce done good in a couple of side-events. This was my first big tournament and I love beeing here playing with some of the best pokerplayers in the world.

Antonio: At what stage and how did u leave the tournament?

Ivar: I moved all in with about 2000 chips with AT from small blind (200/400) after cutoff made his third raise. He had only been on the table for 15-20 minutes, but had a big stack and i figured AT was good vs his range from a good position. It turned out to be very wrong because he had TT and with no help it was over for me.

Antonio: Are you happy with Betfair hospitality?

Ivar:I'm very happy with the way Betfair arranged this. I recieved information shortly after winning the qualifier and was then told to contact Antonio in Italy. He's been very helpful and supportive.

Antonio: Did any of the other players, from other poker rooms, that you see receive the same attention from the staff members?

Ivar:It's hard for me to say, but I doubt that any other non-pro qualifiers got the same attention from their staff.

Antonio: Do you play regurarly on Betfair? If so what do u enjoy the most?

Ivar: I play all the $50+ tournaments on Betfair several nights every week. My favourites is the weekly 50KG and Annettes and Imperiums guarantee tournaments. I like the size of the startfields and the guaranteed pricepools. The recent improvements on the client is also good... resizeable windows, instant hand history, etc.

Antonio: Are you looking forward winning a package for the WSOPE 2008 sponsored by Betfair?

Ivar: I will for sure try to qualify for the WSOPE on Betfair. It would be nice to travel to London and try to play a competitive tournament.
