What's your top tip to new players? One nugget of advice is not to play every hand. You are allowed to fold. Playing more is unlikely to mean winning more. Poker is a game of odds and (whisper it) some luck. And so playing more is likely to mean losing more.
Buzzer (who is Betfair's machinelike poker pro from Frankfurt) plays about ten tables at a time. He says that you cannot win over time if you see 40% of flops - ah! I see - well that MUST be the reason why I haven't been winning recently. Buzzer says "play more tables!" - Ja!
One other top tip is to know your limit. Another is to not wear dark glasses. This is a pet hate. No-one should wear dark glasses indoors unless they are under doctors orders or can sing like Stevie Wonder. Beginners should also avoid mirrored glasses for reasons all too obvious...
