Tipping the dealer... is it open to abuse?
Picture the scene. You are at the WSOP Europe. The table is ok. You might even be the shark among so many fish.
And then you get asked if you would mind moving to another table. The dealer/casino drone says the person at this other table is playing against someone who he is very friendly with or even related to. It's unfair on the other players. Best he moves.
So being a good sort, you swap. And then you realise that the other table has better players. This other table is hard work. You start to lose. And you see the player you swapped with tipping the casino drone a chunk of change.
Is tipping a good thing?
Or is it, like most things, open to abuse?
