TO the pages of Worcester News ('Online and on Worcester').
And news that a Worcester woman is "the only person from the country to reach the final of an international poker tournament".
The quote is a little misleading. Worcester News is a fine publication but it can surely see that the line could be misconstrued as meaning that no British woman has ever made it to the final of an international tourney. They have.
Tina Walker is the only British woman to make it to the final of the Battle of the Mags tournament.
Yes, the Battle of the Mags, a contest to see which poker magazine has the best players.
That Mrs Walker is the only woman to have made it through may more a comment on the male dominated world of poker organs...
