A BAD beat. It was always going to end on a bad beat.

But on the forums, sickoflayinwinners has a plan:

"I recently read in a magazine how one player copes with bad beats.

He says, "as soon as the chips are in and I'm ahead with Q-Q v 10-10 ,the outcome of the hand means nothing to me at all as I know that if I continue to find myself in this position I've done my job and I have no power over the rest of things."

He achieves contentment, a state of acceptance.

"I have now come to the same conclusion as I find my chips are almost always in with the best of things and no doubt eventually the best hand will start holding up.

"More importantly this guys view avoids stress as you don't give it another moment's thought."

Random Online Tournament Donk replies: "If you keep on getting knocked out by bad beats its purely because you play too tight and never have your opponent covered. Therefore everytime you are all in its for your seat which inevitably you will lose eventually"

sickoflayinwinners repsonds: "I'm not suggesting this only for times when you're at risk of going out of a tourney I'm saying it's a good idea every time you push or call an all in whether you are covered or still gonna have plenty of chips, I'm just saying that once the betting is finished just ignore the way the cards are flopped turned and rivered as you are powerless to decide the outcome of who wins the pot - just be content with gettting and all-in situation for you or your oponent with the best hand, that's all you can do isn't it.

"The bonus is you don't see the crazy outdraws and therefore are less likely to tilt."
