DO national characteristics determine how a player plays poker?
One online casino and its European Event Co-ordinators set out to see if national characteristics can be discerned in the way poker is played.
Findings:
Swedish: Players tend to be very aggressive and enjoy taking risks.
Spanish: Players come from a chess background and have strong analytical skills.
Germans: Players strive to improve
French: Flair is evident
British: Restrained and disciplined approach.
The Dutch: Players prefer a scientific approach in order to succeed
Italians: tend to be quite impulsive
Would it pay off to pretend to be Italian in a poker game? Would you pose as something you are not to gain an edge?
