Debate rages on the forum - what is the best strategy against "hit and run" poker players and is it immoral?

IsabelleF has listed some players "so that they can never get HU games or it gives u the chance to adjust your game knowing they are going to run after the first meaningful pot, I have a long list that I will post up when I have time, but to start with..."

We won't mention the names here. There is too much scope for misrepresentation and players seeking revenge for losses and more. In any case, if some player dips in and out of games for practice and a bit of fun will they care what more experienced and active players think of them?

Farrer, however, makes a good point: "the bottom line is you wouldn't do it live and there are loads of reasons for it - if someone did it to you live you would surely moan to the table."

There is, of course, a lot you would not do if sat at the table proper. You would most likely get dressed, stop smoking and turn off that ambient trance music.

IsabelleF notes: "But yes, if u know they are hit and runners, you can either not play them, or adjust your game to beat them."

Should you alter your game?

sickoflayinwinners takes a more upbeat view and says the game will out. Have faith. The hit and runner will win and lose. And when they lose and chase their money, they will lose more.

And what is so bad about hit and run anyway? If you bet at the bookmakers and win, you can come and go as you please? Mandylou makes that point.

You do what's best for you. End of. Right?
