On the Betfair Forums, littlesanith wants to know what "tilt" means.

The answer soon comes via canaryboy, who is certain enough of his point to make it twice.

Says he: "When a poker players let their emotions could their poker judgement, it's called going 'on tilt'. Often, when a player suffers a bad beat or a losing streak, they will go 'on tilt'."

And then realising that he has jumped in to fast without checking his spelling, he writes: "When a poker player lets their emotions cloud their poker judgement, it's called going 'on tilt'. Often, when a player suffers a bad beat or a losing streak, they will go 'on tilt'."

The danger is clear - never go in too early and rashly. Consider your options and don't make the same mistakes twice...

(Anyone want a poker glossary - you can help to write it?)
