Man Flu and Poker

First things first.
I've had the flu. And being a man, everyone automatically says that I have "man flu" - which is the same as saying "a slight cold". But I have been genuinely ill...you know how I can tell? I haven't played hardly any poker. And that says a lot.
But now I'm better. I have put the hankies away. I have stopped eating soup. And I have hit the tables again. And I have achieved an amazing act in poker - something which I would guess that no other poker player in the world has achieved.
My wife had popped out with my eldest daughter, and I was looking after our youngest. She is just over two, and she was happily playing "tea party" with her variety of Peppa Pig figures (Peppa Pig, Emily Elephant, Danny Dog, Albert Asbo etc etc). And as she was contentedly playing, I sat on the sofa with my laptop and loaded up a cash table. And it was a juicy cash table - there was one particular player who was incredibly loose, and it was clear that one of the players was going to take his cash, and I wanted that player to be me.
He'd been playing around five minutes and was actually winning when my daughter suddenly stood up and said "Daddy, done a poo-poo" (which, in her speak meant that she had done a poo-poo, and not me).
Now at this stage I should have left the table, and changed her nappy - but there was money to be won - so I thought I'd attempt changing a nappy whilst playing poker. Luckily, her changing mat was nearby, so I placed it on the sofa next to the laptop - and got on with the not very pleasant job of cleaning her up. Whilst in the process of doing this I was dealt a pair of nines, and the maniac had already raised pre-flop - so I managed to reach over and flat call (baby wipe in hand). The flop was under-cards (the flop on the laptop screen that is) and the maniac bet it again, so this time I raised it up and put him all-in, and he called with Ace-King. Fortunately he missed with both the turn and river.
So.....I managed to win a buy-in whilst changing a nappy!!
I am such a new man...
Overall the poker is going OK, but having a couple of weeks break has stalled my bankroll building. Starting from scratch on Betfair, I have now got my balance up to a couple of hundred pounds, and I want to get to £300 before I move up to NL20. This could take a week, it could take three months...you never know in poker. But it won't be for want of trying.
To all my readers - have a great Christmas!! And win some money!!!
