The majority of poker players will bet on anything. Whether it is credit card roulette after a meal with friends or betting what flavour lollipop comes out of the vending machine if there are odds available they will bet on it.
Sports betting is a big favourite of many poker players and one high-stakes guru who loves to bet on sports is Ilari Sahamies also known online as 'Ziigmund'
In Ziigmund's native Finland, ice hockey is the biggest sport and for yeas he has supported a team called HIFK who he went to go watch in a match against JYP with some friends. In typical Ziigmund style, the beer was flowing and with the match poised at 3-3, one of Ziigmund's friends thought a bet would be a good idea.
His idea was that whichever team lost, their supporters had to have that teams logo tattooed onto their person. Naturally Ziigmund and his friend Heikki Paasonen said yes and after a last-minute point from JYP, the HIFK boys had lost the bet and needed to have themselves "inked."
Luckily for Ziigmund and Paasonen the tattooist at the Blue Dragon tattoo studio in Helsinki was also a HIFK fan so each tattoo was applied with precision and treated like a work of art, with Ziigmund opting to have the tattoo, shown in the picture at the top of this article, on his side.
When asked about his new body modification, Ziigmund said, "It's cool. I've been a fan since I was 9-years old so I don't mind at all."
In my opinion he should have had to have the opposing teams emblem tattooed on himself to make it a better bet but each to their own I guess!
