Before the start of the WSOP Main Event Final Table, Darvin Moon announced he was nowhere near the best player on show and he was only there because he had been smacked in the face with the deck. Having already dispatched of Phil Ivey, Moon was at it again with Steve Begleiter.

Begleiter made his standard opening raise to 1,600,000 from up front and like in the Ivey elimination hand, the action folded around to Moon in the big blind who quickly announced he was once again all-in. Belgleiter could not call quick enough and he jumped out of his chair as he said call.

His QsQd wewre in good shape against Moon's AcQh and they improved further on a board reading 7s4d8s3d but a cruel, cruel ace on the river (the title of Barry Greenstein's book) saw the 23,000,000 pot shipped to the Maryland logger.

After suffering this bad beat Begleiter was obviously stunned and shook the hand of every player expect Moon on his way to collect $1,587,160.

Five players remain.
