Like London buses, two eliminations at the final table of the WSOP Main Event have come together, with Kevin Schaffel now heading for the rail after a cruel of bad beat.

The action folded around to Schaffel in middle position and he made a healthy raise to $1,250,000. Steve Begleiter checked his cards and made the call in the cutoff but Eric Buchman had other ideas.

Buchman had been very active in the opening couple of hours and this ran true as he made it 5,000,000 to go. Usually a raise this size would take down the pot uncontested but not this time as Schaffel announced he was all-in. Begleiter intelligently got out of the way but after standing from his seat for a better view, Buchman made the call.

He would have wished he hadn't for a second as his KhKc was a 4.5/1 dog against Shaffel's AhAc but he maned to spike a king on a QsJhKs flop. All hopes of a two-outer comeback were quashed when the King of diamonds fel on the turn giving Buchman quads and leaving Schaffel drawing dead.

In true sportsman style, Schaffel shook the other players hands before making his way to the cage to collect his $1,300,261, leaving just seven players in contention for the title.

With that win Buchman finds himself just 5,000,000 behind chip leader Darvin Moon and Phil Ivey just needs to outlast just three more players to claim the number one spot for live tournament winnings.
