Are You Being Cheated By Online Poker Software?

OVER on the Poker Forum, sickoflayinwinners is conducting an audit.

The player writers: "As I've said previously, I find it hard to believe the pair v pair clashes stand scrutiny online, so I decided on a sample of 400 such clashes (pair v pair all in pre flop) was the order of the day.

"The latest score is 12 to 5 in favour of the bigger pair so far. Obviously, I don't think for one moment the results will continue along these lines( I really hope not anyway), but I do feel the result will be closer than it mathematically should be."

And an invitation to the forumites: "Feel free to call me a fool for doubting the validity of online stats but hopefully the 400 sample should give a reasonable indication."

Is this an allegation of cheating, or of being cheated by the software?

Says our player with a scorecard: "I don't think anyone's getting cheated by the software, I just got the impression (purely a feeling) that the big pairs didn't seem to hold up enough, hence doing a survey for my own ends."

The result seems to be a forgone conclusion. But we await the results with interest...
