Annette Obrestad Takes A Break From Playing Live

OUR own Annette Obrestad (Annette_15), winner of the World Series of Poker Main Event in London in September, narrowly failed to win the EPT event in Dublin last week.

The winner, Reuben Peters, defeated the 19-year-old Norwegian in the final. Annette's all-in call with pocket sevens on a ten-high flop was made in error. Peters sat with A-T. He won.

Says Annette to Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang: "Maybe I made a bad play in the last hand. I had a lot of chips for a while, but didn't get any cards and didn't hit anything when we played heads-up. At the same time it was the total opposite for him."

And: "I'm disappointed. I wanted to win this tournament." Although, the €297,800 prize cushions the blow, a little.

Now Annette is taking a break from playing. Says she: "I will take a little break from playing live now. Since London, I've been to Barcelona, Austria and Aruba. It will be great to come home."

And switch on the computer: "When I'm home, I usually play online poker for 40-50 hours a week."

Take on Annette in the new $20k GTD...
