Annette Obrestad is now a Betfair-sponsored player. This means we get to meet her and ask her some poignant questions, such as: will you lend me fiver and so forth.
For those of you hoping to woo Annette, and her £1million prize for winning the WSOPE, know that she's from a small town called Sandnes in Norway.
We guessed Annette preferred to play a good game than talk one when she wore dark glasses to collect her prize money; she seemed less than interested in eulogising and thanking her mum, her dad, the man who sold her a pack of cards in 1995, everyone who has ever met her, Gwyneth Paltrow etc.
Does she like the media attention? "I don't mind it," says Annette. "Sometimes it can be quite demanding and a little annoying but mostly it's alright."
And so to Betfair's big question: £1 million or the WSOP bracelet - what is more important?
"Definitely the bracelet! Hopefully without sounding arrogant, I already have built up enough money from poker to buy the things that I want. The prestige of winning the bracelet means much more to me than the £1 million."
She deserves her good fortune. "I've put in the hours, really studied the game," says Annette. "I'm a patient person and I think playing millions of hands online has given me great grounding in the game."
So her advice is to practice? Play a lot. Says she: "My first advice would be to use proper bankroll management. Play within your limits. Then if you have patience and work hard you should do well."
The secret of her success? "Umm, tough one," says Annette. "For me, I'd say: Patience, errrr... Aggression and ummm ... Fearlessness."
What are you waiting for?
