After a long, long, long wait can it be two in a row for Monte's Multiple?

Back Hendry to beat Robertson @ 3.7
Back Sri Lanka to beat England @ 1.5
Back Man City to beat Fulham @ 1.45
Treble pays @ 7.7

Monte's Multiple finally shook the monkey from its back last week. Have the flood gates now opened? Are we primed for a flurry of winners? Only time will tell....

Bet 1: Snooker - Premier League

This week's Premier League gives a real illustration of how much the game of snooker has been globalised in recent years. Three nations are represented and not even a sniff of an Englishman.

Higgins and Robertson are both favourites for their respective matches on the back of their earlier wins but are also both a little short to me. The one that has caught my eye this week is Robertson v Hendry, Hendry scored 242 unanswered points in the opening two frames against Judd Trump last week and looked to be in devastating form. But Trump won a scrappy third frame and didn't look back from there.

Hendry's longevity at the top of the game can be partly attributed to his mental state and his ability to not let bad performances affect future frames and matches. This would be a classic opportunity for the Scot to strike back and I think at [3.7] he is overpriced to do so. He didn't look like missing a ball in those first two frames against Trump, so he is certainly on top of his game when he's in the balls and he won't let a similar lead slip against Robertson this week.

Selection: Back Hendry to beat Robertson @ [3.7]

Bet 2: Cricket - ICC Champions Trophy

England managed to sneak a win at the end of the seven match series against Australia and avoid an embarrassing white wash, but didn't avoid humiliation.

England were more than outclassed in all aspects of the game throughout the series and Australia claimed the majority of their victories with extreme ease. It's the same squad who are going the ICC Trophy in South Africa and things could get even worse for Andrew Strauss and Andy Flower.

There are at least three better One Day sides out there in the shape of Sri Lanka, South Africa and India and they won't be any less forgiving than the Australians were on English soil. The England bowlers must have looked on in horror and the batsmen in bemusement at the master class that Tillakaratne Dilshan put on against the South Africans on Tuesday. And put simply, the English batsmen will not know what to do with the bowling of the three M's - Murali, Mendis and Malinga.

I'd be surprised to see England notch up any wins from there three group stage matches, and they couldn't have a more difficult opening match than against Sri Lanka.

Selection: Back Sri Lanka to beat England @ [1.5]

Bet 3: Football - Carling Cup

The Carling Cup is a potential minefield for punters as managers often use it to rotate squads and try out new formations. But if you get it right and are on the right side of decisions to rest key players, you can make a killing.

Mark Hughes showed in his 2nd round team selection that Man City will be taking this competition serious this year. With no European excursions to distract them and the possibility of not quite being ready to take the Premier League title this year, the cup competitions present a realistic opportunity for silverware.

Their third round opponents are Fulham and with a Europa League campaign to think of I feel this could be a tournament they could do without, and Roy Hodgson will make the changes to reflect this. Man City are available at [1.45] and even in the league with two full strength sides on show I can't see the price being altered much from that. Therefore if my reading of the situation and expected line-ups is accurate that must be a huge value back.

Selection: Back Man City to beat Fulham @ [1.45]
