After last week's [16.3] winner Jaymes Monte is looking to make it back to back successes for Monte's Multiple...

Bet 1: Darts - Premier League

Last week we were rewarded for putting our faith in a Raymond van Barneveld resurgence that looked entirely unlikely on the basis of his previous performance against Phil Taylor. Barney posted the highest average of the tournament in beating Terry Jenkins by 8 legs to 4 and after the game commented on how happy he now is with his new darts.

This week he faces an entirely different prospect against the renowned battler Mervyn King and it will be interesting to see if his new darts can stand up to the sort of pressure that King is certain to apply.

There may be a few doubts as to whether Barney can reproduce the form he showed last week especially given consistency has been such a problem for the Dutchman. However, at [2.6] I am more than willing to take that chance by backing him to win this match and continue his ascent up the Premier League table.

Selection: Back van Barneveld to beat King @ [2.6]

Bet 2: Cricket - IPL

This year's Indian Premier League has got off to the best possible start and reminded us why we fell in love with it in its inaugural year. Now back on Indian soil we are seeing some big scores, some fantastically exciting games and the sort of atmosphere seen in few stadiums around the world.

One of two 100% records will be extinguished this Wednesday as Delhi Daredevils take on Mumbai Indians. Mumbai just got over the line against Rajasthan Royals in their opening game after faltering in their defence of 212 whereas Delhi have won both of their two games in a rather comfortable fashion.

I like the fact that Mumbai posted a big score without relying on one particular player and it was very much a team performance which got them over the line in their opener. They also have the big hitting Kieron Pollard to add to their ranks, a player I am extremely excited to see get involved in the IPL. At the bigger odds of [2.2] I am going for Mumbai to make it two out of two.

Selection: Back Mumbai Indians to beat Delhi Daredevils @ [2.2]

Bet 3: Football - Scottish Division 1

Scottish football may be in financial disarray at present but one club who knows all about the pitfalls of overspending are amid a minor resurgence of their own. Dundee spent the 'silly money' that brought in the likes Fabrizio Ravanelli and Claudio Caniggia in the early part of this millennium; it temporarily bought them European football but ultimately financial ruin and relegation to the Scottish First Division.

After three years in Scotland's second tier they have managed to turn the club around and are now primed for a return to the Scottish Premier League. A Scottish Cup quarter-final tie at the weekend means that they have another rearranged game to fit into their schedule and they will get one of those out of the way against Ayr this Wednesday.

Dundee have already beaten Ayr once this season and can re-establish a six-point lead at the top of the table with another victory. At [2.0] they complete my treble suggestion for this week.

Selection: Back Dundee to beat Ayr @ [2.0]
