Michela Quattrociocche may or may not have

Michela Quattrociocche may or may not have "a thing" for players whose initials are the same as those of car breakdown services but we hear she certainly has a thing for this week's multiple.

Back Arsenal to beat Celtic @ 2.0
Back Lopez to beat Melzer @ 2.0
Back Middlesex to beat Glamorgan @ 1.7
£10 Treble @ 6.8

Jaymes Monte believes Celtic are quaking in their boots, Lopez's hard court form will be too much for Melzer and Glamorgan's bowling attack is too weak...

Alberto Aquilani is a lucky chap, as anyone who has set eyes on his lady friend Michela Quattrociocche will tell you. She has stated that the two are desperately in love, so much so that she has the initials of Liverpool's big money signing tattooed upon her person.

Whether she expected to be residing in the British Isles when she got 'AA' tattooed upon her person is a matter of conjecture, but Ricardo (Alberto) Carvalho's missus may want to keep an eye on Miss Quattrociocche.

Bet 1: Football - Champions League

Celtic got their domestic campaign off to a positive start in their early kick off against Aberdeen on Saturday. Following the game the players will have sat down in front of their TV screens, to watch and scout their midweek opponents Arsenal, in fairly jubilant mood.

But any feelings of excitement or confidence will have been replaced with nerves and apprehension as they watched events unfold at Goodison Park. To see Arsenal tear apart an Everton side renowned for their tactical organisation and defensive qualities will have sent shockwaves reverberating through the Premier League and Europe.

There is an argument to say that sides approach the first game of a two-legged tie with a different mindset to league games, but then we must remember that this is Arsenal we are talking about and they genuinely only know one way to play the game. Celtic will have their work cut out on Tuesday night, and if Arsenal can pick up where they left off this tie will be over before they return to the Emirates next week.

Selection: Back Arsenal to beat Celtic @ [2.0]

Bet 2: Tennis - Cincinnati Masters

Andy Murray duly produced the performances and results to capitalise on Nadal's injury woes, move up to number two in the world and claim his 4th Masters Series title with victory over Juan Martin Del Potro. Both will again be in action this week in the Cincinnati Masters as they continue preparations ahead of September's US Open.

Del Potro's second round match will be against the winner of the Feliciano Lopez and Jurgen Melzer match. Both players were eliminated in the first round of last week's tournament in Montreal but Lopez arrived in Canada on the back of a hard court, Challenge Tour tournament victory in his native Spain.

Melzer has the better of the head to heads between the two, winning two of their three meetings (all of which were on a hard court surface) but their meeting in last year's US Open went to a fifth set and Lopez won the last time the two crossed paths.

As the betting suggests, this will be a close match but Lopez's tournament victory in Spain suggest to me that he is the man to be siding with on the hard court surface in Cincinnati.

Selection: Back Lopez to beat Melzer @ [2.0]

Bet 3: Cricket - Pro40 Div 2

Glamorgan had cause to feel a little hard done by in last week's televised Pro40 game against Surrey. Although they were comprehensively beaten in the end, victors Surrey should offer a lot of thanks to the weather gods as rain delays conspired against Glamorgan's closing charge.

They will have the chance to avenge that defeat in front of the cameras again on Wednesday night when they take on Middlesex in another Pro40 division two fixture.

Middlesex also suffered defeat in their last Pro40 fixture, and that was despite an impeccable 130 from Owais Shah which included four sixes and 14 fours. Nick Compton and Ben Scott were the only other two to make telling contributions but if the likes of Eoin Morgan and Tyrone Henderson can recover the form they are capable of then Glamorgan are in trouble.

It can often be dangerous to make bets on the postulation that players may or may not return to form, but I have a distinct lack of confidence in the Glamorgan bowling attack and they are easy pickings for most at present. It's an ideal opportunity for the likes of Morgan and Henderson but even if these players cannot recover their form Middlesex can win this one comfortably.

Selection: Back Middlesex to beat Glamorgan @ [1.7]
