A tip from the Joker to get your betting day under way....

We're only just into July. That means only one thing to the Joker: the start of the Europa League. Hurrah for Michel Platini! Hurrah for football taking over the world! Hurrah for the Joker having something to write about!

One of the teams in the first qualifying round of the replacement for the UEFA Cup is The New Saints. Formerly Total Network Solutions, the first British club ever to give their name to their sponsor, Jeff Stelling used to greet any win for them with 'they'll be dancing in the streets of Total Network Solutions tonight'. The name of the club indeed means a lot to its top brass. In the search for a new one, they tried auctioning the naming rights on eBay.

Tonight, the New Saints need a miracle to beat Iceland's Fram. The Nordic team are a couple of months into their domestic season and should be fitter and stronger than their visitors, whose domestic season does not begin until the relatively civilised date of 14 August.
