The Dubai World Cup Carnival will get underway with back-to-back race meetings at Maydan on January 5-6...
Many of racing's top trainers will once again be represented as they aim to claim some of the nearly US$39 million in prize money to be offered during the 16-race meetings, including the US$27.25 million Dubai World Cup.
Racing interests from nine countries are represented, including: the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Brazil, Singapore, Ireland, South Africa, Bahrain and Norway.
Some of the runners already at Meydan include reigning Dubai Duty Free champion Presvis, Singapore International Cup winner Gitano Hernando and King's Stand Stakes winner Prohibit, while a whole host of other top names are expected to follow.
