All eyes will be on Moonee Valley on Friday when six rivals will take on Black Caviar in the Group 2 Australia Stakes (due off 09:15 GMT) as she attempts to stretch her unbeaten run to 17...

First up since winning the Group 1 Patinack Farm Classic in November, Black Caviar is a short-priced favourite to land Friday's Group 2 Australia Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley.

The Peter Moody-trained mare has drawn barrier 1 for the event, with Zedi Knight and Doubtful Jack, considered the main 'dangers', jumping from barriers 5 and 7 respectively.

At a recent press conference, Moody told reporters "She certainly hasn't had a more incident free preparation than this one, touch wood. She is in great shape at the moment"

7 IMPULSIVE DREAM Darren Weir 2 56.5kg 72

Plans for the mare following the Australia Stakes are fluid but could include the C.F Orr Stakes on February 11 and the Futurity Stakes at Caulfield a fortnight later. Each are over 1400m, which is unchartered territory for Black Caviar, but it doesn't concern Moody, who said "Nothing flusters her, nothing worries here which leads me towards believing that not too many distances will be a problem, certainly not the 1400m that is upcoming."

Assuming all is well following those outings, Black Caviar could be heading for the UK for the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot and the July Cup at Newmarket.
