Timeform offer their perspective on a weekend full of quality races...

The feature race of this weekend is the Group 2 Temple Stakes at Haydock Park. Twelve runner's are set to contest the race and, after the withdrawal of antepost favourite Armour Propre, this is wide open. Borderlescott and Tax Free both have solid form in big sprint races and are sure to be bang in contention. Some of the younger runners have claims also. Rievaulx World is only a three-year-old but possesses plenty of pace and Look Busy is extremely consistent and should run well.

Newmarket also host a classy card and Henry Cecil's Father Time is an interesting runner in the first race on the card, a listed race over ten furlongs. Godolphin's runners have shown glimpses of form lately and the progressive Donativum makes his seasonal reappearance in the King Charles II Stakes.

Elsewhere on this Bank Holiday weekend there is a cracking National Hunt card at Stratford on Saturday night. The highlights include the Llewellyn Humphreys Handicap Chase ran over two miles and five furlongs and the Stratford Foxhunters Champion Hunters Chase over a trip of three and a half miles. They also race on Saturday at Beverley, Catterick and Cartmel in Britain.

At the Curragh it is the Irish 2,000 Guineas on Saturday and the 1,000 Guineas on Sunday.
Delegator is likely to line up for the 2,000 Guineas and could go one better than when being beaten by Sea The Stars in the English version of the race.

Sundays racing comes from Ballinrobe in Ireland and Fontwell, Newmarket and Uttoxeter in Britain.
