Timeform take a close look at two trainers who have their horses in form and another who is struggling for winners...
Nicky Richards has his string in tremendous form as the jumps season draws to a close. He is currently operating at 46% strike-rate (7-15) in the past sixteen days, with many of his other runners going close. The highlight of the winners will undoubtedly have been Noble Alan in the Scottish Champion Hurdle at Ayr on Saturday. Nicky has plenty of horses entered over the following days at the Perth festival and they all warrant close consideration given the trainer's form.
Charlie Mann is another trainer who has his horses running well. He is currently operating at a 35% strike-rate in the past eighteen days. Of his forthcoming entries, Wincanton winner Rebel Melody stands out. He won with plenty in hand that day and is a possible declaration for a handicap chase at Market Rasen on Saturday. Interestingly, stablemate and recent winner Mr Big is an entry for that race also.
Tim Easterby is struggling for winners at present (51 runners since last win) and although there have been signs of a revival of late with some placed efforts, it's the marginal call to keep opposing his runners for the time being.
