Despite once again experiencing a slow start to the campaign, Saeed bin Suroor and the Godolphin team have enjoyed an extremely successful end to the season. Over the past 13 days, bin Suroor has sent out an incredible 18 winners, the highlight being the victory of Schiaparelli in the Group 1 Gran Premio Del Jockey Club at the San Siro. A continuing theme this season has been the consistent success of the Godolphin juveniles, and that is reflected in the fact that ten of those victories have been achieved by the two-year-old crop. Godolphin look set to be well represented at the upcoming Breeders Cup meeting at Santa Anita and their representatives should be feared judged by the current stable form.

Marco Botti is relatively new to the training ranks and his career has received a couple of significant boosts this month, none more important than his first top-flight success, achieved by Gitano Hernando in the Grade 1 Goodwood Stakes at Santa Anita. Connections have decided to swerve a bid at the Breeders' Cup Classic at the same track next month, but are lining the three-year-old up for a tilt at the richest prize on the planet in 2010, the Dubai World Cup. Included in the record of five successes for the Botti stable this month is the victory of promising juvenile filly Electric Feel in the listed Radley Stakes at Newbury on Saturday. The daughter of Firebreak, who travelled strongly before being required to battle to hold off the challenge of Za Za Zoom, is being considered for a Classic campaign in 2010.
