"In Kangaroo Court, Lavelle looks to have a novice chaser to follow for the remainder of the season."
Timeform take a look at the three trainers enjoying a good start to the flat race season.
The 2009/10 National Hunt season has sprung into life during the past week with impressive chasing displays from Sizing Europe, Gullible Gordon and Tataniano amongst the highlights.
One trainer who has her string in rude health at present is Emma Lavelle. The Hampshire handler has sent out three winners from her past nine runners and, in Kangaroo Court, looks to have a novice chaser to follow for the remainder of the season. The son of Lahib was an effortless victor at Cheltenham last week and may well make up into an Arkle contender come March.
Alison Thorpe has been banging in winners all year and isn't showing few signs of stopping anytime soon. Thorpe has had four winners in the past fortnight and her charges have to be especially respected when teaming up with Richard Johnson. The perennial runner-up in the jockey's championship has excelled when riding Orchard King for two out of Thorpe's last four victories.
Gay Kelleway is finishing the Flat season strongly and she looks to have a nice prospect on her hands in Exceedingly Bold. The Exceed and Excel colt was a ready winner of a maiden at Newbury and is one of three winners for the trainer this month. Kelleway is a regular at all-weather tracks during the winter and she could be set for a successful spell.
