Fourteen go to post for this race; Timeform talk us through all their respective chances...

A decent sprint handicap with Rebel Duke taken to make a winning debut for his new yard. He has won twice in the past after a break and can end Invincible Lad's unbeaten record on the all-weather. Flash McGahon is another unlikely to be far away if taking to the surface at the first time of asking.

Toms Laughter made giant strides in sprint handicaps last season, when also finishing a fine third in a Group 3. He is lightly raced and has not been as good this time round but is looking increasingly well treated again.

Luscivious is an inconsistent gelding who has a tendency to miss the break. He got back in the winning groove here last month but this is a fair bit tougher and he has never won off a mark this high.

Rebel Duke is a strong-travelling front runner who was in fine heart for David Barker when last seen. He goes well fresh and his new yard is capable of prising improvement even out of ones who look exposed.

Tabaret is a speedy sort who has a poor wins-to-runs ratio and was favourably drawn when running well at Haydock last time. He is belatedly trying fibresand and it remains to be seen whether he'll take to it.

Baby Strange is an edgy but likeable sort and is always to be feared in this type of race. He is looking favourably treated again but has never run on fibresand before and this is only his second try at five furlongs since his debut win.

Pawan is a tough hold-up performer who wins in his turn. Not for the first time he appeared to run above himself in small-field conditions event last week and he did finish second in this off the same mark last year.

The Nifty Fox is a strong-traveller who was impressive when winning at Musselburgh last month. He needs to prove himself on fibresand, though the yard won this last year with one having a first go on the surface.

Invincible Lad is three from three on all-weather and has given the impression a few times this campaign that his current mark isn't beyond him. A return to fibresand could spark him back to life and he is one to consider.

Ocean Blaze is all speed and has been successful twice this month already. She makes her all-weather debut off a mark she's never won off, however, while stall thirteen is possibly not ideal.

Flash McGahon was useful when with John Oxx and is dangerously well handicapped for a yard bound to strike with him soon. The only negative is whether he'll handle fibresand at the first attempt.

Hypnosis is a speedy mare who has been lightly raced this year but has a few efforts to her name that give her a squeak on her return to fibresand (won on only previous visit here in 2007).

Imprimus Tagula's six career wins have come here, though the last three have come in claimers and he is still high enough in the weights over a trip probably on the sharp side for him.

Lesley's Choice is a front runner who was in good heart earlier in the year, but has been well below his best recently and it is hard to make a case for him on his return to all-weather, even taking a reduced mark and first-time blinkers into account.

Guto is a capable sprinter who keeps raking in the cash, landing four wins this year, including two over course and distance. He is still potentially well treated on his best form and must be respected.
