A field of eight go to post for this 0-75 rated handicap open to four year olds and upwards and worth £4,000, says Timeform.

Michael Wigham's River Kirov is clear top-rated. He was successful on his last two starts within four days, winning at Lingfield in December and Kempton in January, beating Restless Genius by three lengths for the latter success, readily going clear in the final furlong. He carries a double penalty here and should give another good account.

War and Peace is an ex-Aidan O'Brien horse who is lightly raced for a five year old, having had just nine career starts. He was a creditable half length third to Leading Edge in a handicap at Great Leighs last time, although again looking a tricky ride.

Figaro Flyer ran his best race for a long time when a three quarter length second to Northern Empire at Wolverhampton last time. He has failed to settle but is one to keep an eye on.

Peter's Storm is a fair handicapper. He has returned to form the last two starts, and reared when the stalls opened at Southwell when a respectable sixth to Ingleby Arch last time.

Incomparable folded tamely at this course last time having failed to lead. He is likely to prove best at 5f and wears cheekpieces once again here.

Gainshare was a creditable second at the course on his penultimate start but is none too consistent whilst Dark Tara showed signs of temperament on her reappearance from eleven months off.
