Timeform run the rule over the field for the European Breeders' Fund Handicap...
Despite top weight Global City should go well and Wedding List is open to further improvement this year, but White Shift has been running admirably and is likely to be hard to beat again.
Global City rounded off last year with a ready win on the all-weather and shaped better than the bare form when fifth to Bouvardia last time. He is likely to have conditions to suit and should go well.
Calligrapher was off the mark in good style at Pontefract on his second start. He shaped as if in need of the run on his reappearance and remains the type to do better.
Parisian Art was an emphatic winner of a seven furlong maiden at Newmarket on his debut, but has not always looked straightforward since and improvement needed on this return from an absence.
Desert Falls was a winner twice on polytrack last year and creditable fourth at Thirsk on his reappearance. He was poorly drawn at Chester last time but doesn't look to have anything in hand of the handicapper at present.
Wedding List progressed well last year and made all in a maiden at Great Leighs. She has a seven-month absence to overcome here but her stable is in flying form and she's open to further improvement.
Spiritofthewest was rather in-and-out as a two-year-old, though he did win a maiden at Beverley. He put in a good effort for his new yard when fourth here last time but may prove better at five furlongs.
White Shift was back to her best when successful at Bath and Newmarket, and was unlucky in her quest for a hat-trick when hampered at Ripon last time. She remains in top form and is capable of gaining compensation here.
Diggeratt returned from a nine-month absence with a creditable effort over seven furlongs in the mud here last month, closing strongly from the rear. It is slightly surprising therefore that she is dropped back to six furlongs here.
