Stand Guard has made giant strides this winter and took another step up the ladder when winning at Wolverhampton last time. He is unbeaten in three runs over this course and distance but another career best is required.

Dream of Fortune four wins have all come on the all weather and there was no shame in losing to well-handicapped rival last time. He is up another 1 lb in the weights but respected nonetheless.

Mafeking is an enthusiastic sort who often races prominently and gives his running more often than not on polytrack. This trip suits him better than the twelve furlongs he tackled last time but a bit more is required here.

Folio raced more prominently than normal at Lingfield last time but had earlier completed a hat-trick on polytrack. He is still fairly treated and a leading contender once again.

Kidlat is a big gelding who probably hasn't been ideally suited by the tight demands of Lingfield. He still ran very well there last time though and is a leading contender off 3 lb higher mark.

Cold Turkey is a polytrack specialist and a frequent winner over the years (from twelve furlongs up to two miles), but seems to be in decline nowadays. He faces an inadequate trip once more and is hard to recommend.

Alpes Maritimes recorded both wins when coming late over ten furlongs at Lingfield back in 2007, but has shown slight signs of a revival of late. He is down in the weights but not the safest proposition.

Lake Poet is a useful handicapper on the turf but isn't as good on the all weather. That is reflected in his 26 lb lower mark though and he has leading claims if tuned up for this first start in three hundred and eighty nine days.
