Timeform provide the low-down on the runners in this Thursday evening race at Kempton.
Slip and Sabre Light are joint top-rated by Timeform. The former didn't need to be at his best when winning a 6-runner similar event at Lingfield last time when battling on gamely to beat Teasing by a neck. He acts on this polytrack surface but has looked none too straightforward in the past. Sabre Light has been successful in this grade on four of his last five starts, the first two of those victories coming at this course. He was sent on early in the straight and soon had matters in control when winning at Lingfield last time and should give another good account.
Stuart Williams' Blacktoft finished a creditable fourth in a handicap at Great Leighs last time, albeit in receipt of an enterprising ride. The drop back in grade should prove to his advantage and he is effective over this trip.
Don Pietro represents Roger Curtis and recorded his latest success at the end of November at Great Leighs when looking back to his very best, but his profile shows he's prone to the odd poor run and he proved as much on his next start when racing too freely, that his first outing since leaving Paul Blockley.
Inquest shaped as if he had a problem when dropped to claiming class at this course on his latest start. His maiden form has a solid look to it, having being placed three times from four starts and he could be worth another chance to confirm that initial promise.
Of the remaining pair Cover Drive has a suspect temperament and has plenty to find on the ratings to take a hand here whilst Wahoo Sam is an inconsistent sort who hasn't shaped as if in much form of late.

This looks a good opportunity for Vertigo On Course, a fast-finishing third at Southwell last week. Young Dottie's success last month is working out well and she also makes appeal, while each-way players could do worse than side with Toolentidhaar....

Despite being the senior citizen of the party, Mister Nous retains plenty of ability, and having won five times in France appears ready to open his British account. The Rainbow Hunter could be more deadly now switched to handicaps and looks a big threat to the selection, with Strategic Plan rated third best....
