Six horses start this one in the 3.05 at Ayr on Sunday. Timeform talk us through their credentials.

The Timeform ratings are headed by Quicuyo. He has come on with each run in maiden chases, though was fortunate to win a five runner event at Ayr on his latest start, with the challenging Mohayer departing at the last. He showed fairly useful form that day and despite being enterprisingly ridden deserves credit for maintaining his advantage over the second, his jumping not altogether fluent.

Nicky Richards' Role On won a maiden at Carlisle on his chasing debut in November. However, his tendency to jump low that day cost him when he fell early at the same venue next time. The form of his debut has worked out reasonably well and if he can iron out any jumping errors should give a good account. It's worth noting he went the right way as a hurdler and similar improvement over the larger obstacles may come in time.

Cromwell Court has run well when runner-up both starts over fences this season. On his latest start he faced markedly worse terms with the winner but rallied to secure second in the latter stages. He stays much further than this trip and has raced prominently of late.

Richard Fahey's Dancer's Serenade has the potential to improve over fences. He left Ferdy Murphy and was off nine months prior to his reappearance, when sixth in a maiden at Catterick on his chasing debut. Dancer's Serenade fared a good deal better than the bare result on that occasion, seeming to take to fences quite well and not knocked about. He may do better.

Pistol Basc has little form in Britain this season, whilst Maolisa hasn't made an impact on either of his starts over fences.

This looks a good opportunity for Vertigo On Course, a fast-finishing third at Southwell last week. Young Dottie's success last month is working out well and she also makes appeal, while each-way players could do worse than side with Toolentidhaar....

Despite being the senior citizen of the party, Mister Nous retains plenty of ability, and having won five times in France appears ready to open his British account. Jim Tango is open to improvement over fences, and this looks to be Miss Pross' easiest task for some time, but the likeable Bamby gets the nod with conditions to suit back over fences....

The two handicap debutants could be the ones to focus on here, with Ambrogina favoured more than Seamster. Knightfire will have to settle for a place again....
