Just six go to post for this one; Timeform tell us what they make of each of the runners.

ROOKS RIDER HANDICAP (3)

Just six go to post but a number of them probably haven't reached their peak yet and Tinaar is taken to make it three wins in a row from Ottoman Empire and Highland Glen.
Highland Glen easily opened his account in a mile-and-a-quarter all-weather maiden at Lingfield in May. He produced his best effort in handicaps when a fast-finishing sixth to Cosmic Sun at Royal Ascot last time and has been gelded since. A danger to all.

Ottoman Empire's fibresand maiden win last month worked out well in form terms and he looked a handicapper with a bright future when scoring a shade cosily over course and distance last time. He should improve again.

Barwell Bridge has thrived this year, winning twice and finishing a close third at Royal Ascot, but is vulnerable to several lesser-exposed sorts.

Topolski has been much improved since going handicapping, winning twice in the spring. He can be competitive off this sort of mark judged on a fifth to Cosmic Sun at Royal Ascot, but he has gone off the boil since.

Tinaar is progressing nicely and made it two wins in a row when following up a mile-and-a-quarter maiden victory at Windsor with a comfortable success on her handicap debut over eleven furlongs here. A bold bid is expected again.

Simple Solution made a good impression when winning a mile maiden here last year, but she came up short in listed company on her return and has not beaten another rival home on either outing since.

This looks a good opportunity for Vertigo On Course, a fast-finishing third at Southwell last week. Young Dottie's success last month is working out well and she also makes appeal, while each-way players could do worse than side with Toolentidhaar....

Timeform Daily: Saturday, Wincanton, 13:20

Despite being the senior citizen of the party, Mister Nous retains plenty of ability, and having won five times in France appears ready to open his British account. The Rainbow Hunter could be more deadly now switched to handicaps and looks a big threat to the selection, with Strategic Plan rated third best....

Timeform Daily: Friday, Catterick, 15:30

Jim Tango is open to improvement over fences, and this looks to be Miss Pross' easiest task for some time, but the likeable Bamby gets the nod with conditions to suit back over fences....

Timeform Daily: Thursday, Southwell, 15:20

The two handicap debutants could be the ones to focus on here, with Ambrogina favoured more than Seamster. Knightfire will have to settle for a place again....
