Seven start this seven furlong race on Monday afternoon. Timeform talk us through the individual chances of these not-so-magnificent seven...
On a typically quiet day's racing on Monday, seven go to post for this competitive-looking handicap at Wolverhampton over seven furlongs. Strabinios King heads the ratings.
Strabinios King: Thriving of late and left Michael Wigham following ready success over C/D a week ago (Kensington third). Not been done any favours by the draw but should make bold bid to follow up under penalty.
Kensington: Goes well round here and comfortably best of those patiently ridden when behind Strabinios King last time. Doesn't look on a great mark at present, however, but certainly no forlorn hope for a place again.
Cornus: Losing run stretches back to October 2007 but usually runs his race and not discredited behind Trafalgar Square at Lingfield last time. Down another 3 lb in the weights here and chance is everything will drop right for him in a race like this one day.
Montiboli: Consistent last year and entitled to have come on for her return when behind Tri Chara at Southwell earlier this month; trainer/jockey in tremendous form and impossible to dismiss.
Dancing Maite: Improved towards end of 2008, winning maiden and claimer, but had struggled in handicaps from around this mark beforehand and difficult to make a case for here on return from short break.
Triple Axel: Better than ever after leaving Charles O'Brien, winning maiden at Southwell before good third in handicap over this trip there. Plenty of encouragement in two previous runs on polytrack and hard to leave out of calculations for trainer with record of 4-7 in last fortnight.
Lord Deevert: Enthusiastic front runner who won three handicaps last year but not in same form last couple of starts and hard to make a case for against some of these.

This looks a good opportunity for Vertigo On Course, a fast-finishing third at Southwell last week. Young Dottie's success last month is working out well and she also makes appeal, while each-way players could do worse than side with Toolentidhaar....

Despite being the senior citizen of the party, Mister Nous retains plenty of ability, and having won five times in France appears ready to open his British account. The two handicap debutants could be the ones to focus on here, with Ambrogina favoured more than Seamster. Knightfire will have to settle for a place again....
