Timeform reckon Friday's winner at Ascot has the good health to go on to bigger things.

Master Medic (Ascot, Friday) needed the strong pace back in trip, though the fact he won at all faced with a much sharper test is indicative of the way he's progressing, and there's unquestionably more to come from him.

He was rather outpaced after three out but responded generously in the straight and won going away. He's not far off the leading novices now and connections may well be starting to think about graded events, but there's a valuable handicap in him before that, there plenty of options at around 2½m, though it's perhaps significant that he's largely been kept to flat, right-handed tracks thus far.
