Timeform take a close look at two horses which you would be wise not to back...

At face value, Kerry's Requiem might appear to have a solid, consistent profile, having finished in the places on five occasions this season, often in good quality sprint handicaps.

However, despite the daughter of King's Best having plenty of talent, there seems to be an equal amount of temperament to go with it. The Mick Channon-trained filly is often seen flashing home from rear, sometimes appearing to be unlucky, but this is almost certainly deceptive considering the sheer number of times that it has occurred, and that it has resulted in her only landing one career success from twenty-one attempts. That is an extremely poor return for one with her ability, and therefore it looks best to oppose Kerry's Requiem for win purposes whenever she runs.

Buddhist Monk has been rejuvenated by Ian Williams of late, landing three out of his last four starts, which have all been in claiming company. However, the gelding has demonstrated serious temperament on all of those occasions, most significantly when hanging badly left when winning at Haydock yesterday. Buddhist Monk has far more ability than he is willing to show, allowing him to get away with his quirks when dropped to the lowest grade, but the son of Dr Fong is not one to be trusting at short odds, and would be worth opposing if stepped back up in grade.
