Najca De Thaix has registered two wins this season, but despite those successes isn't one to be interested in at present, turning in a moody display in a handicap chase at Newbury on Wednesday. A refusal to race at Uttoxeter on his eighth seasonal start gave cause for concern and his temperament issues surfaced again at Newbury after a bad mistake at the third, Najca De Thaix downing tools from halfway. He is one to avoid.

Most Definitely showed fair form over hurdles, but judged on his chasing debut at Taunton on Thursday he could struggle to translate that form to the larger obstacles. Aside from his jumping, which lacked fluency, his attitude, already under suspicion, also looked a worry, Most Definitely hanging both ways. He looks none too genuine.

David Pipe's Abragante hasn't shaped as if in much form this season, and once again proved disappointing in a handicap hurdle at Ascot on Saturday. The blinkers that he sported during 2007/8 were dispensed with following his seasonal debut, and he departed at the fifth flight when reverted to hurdles at Wincanton on his second start. He isn't straightforward and is one to steer clear of nowadays.
