Timeform take a close look at three horses who have enjoyed success in recent weeks...
Jimmy Styles finally gained a deserved big race success when Frankie Dettori steered the Inchinor gelding to victory in the Ayr Gold Cup on Saturday. Clive Cox's charge had previously been well fancied for both the Wokingham and the Stewards Cup but had his chance ruined by the draw on both occasions. This time around everything went according to plan and Jimmy Styles finished well on the outside to lead close home. This may not be the end of his improvement and a listed race looks well within grasp.
Bernie The Bolt was a comprehensive victor of the Cesarewitch trial at Newmarket this weekend. Andrew Balding's gelding has thrived as his stamina has been drawn out this year, and whilst he isn't actually in the Cesarewitch this time around he could be the type to go well there in years to come. He certainly looks one to follow when faced with marathon trips and it is not impossible he may even make up into a 'Cup' horse in time.
Emma Lavelle enjoyed a successful jumps campaign last season and she had a winner on Sunday when her stable star Kangaroo Court made an encouraging chasing debut at Uttoxeter. He had shown useful form as a novice hurdler last season and everything about him suggests he should be at least as good over fences. The Lahib gelding justified heavy support in a manner which suggests there are surely plenty more races to be won with him.
